You see, I had a quiet life.
I was a little man and I didn’t do much interacting with the people are where I did stand.

You see, it was in China then. It didn’t have much to do with me or my friends. My few, limited, friends.

I don’t want to be someone who get it.

Oh Lord – the next thing I knew, everyone was going around, banging elbows, banging shoes. What am I supposed to do? Look a total fool?
And everyone wants so much loo roll. Mountains of the stuff. What are they doing in there?
What are they flushing down there?
I used to not have a care and now everyone’s getting prepared. And I’m getting scared.

I don’t want to be someone who gets it.

Now these guys come along and they want to take away my freedom. It seems to be done for no reason. I never committed something close to treason.
I’ve never been political, I’ve never called for world peace, now they say they want me to lock myself indoors and I just have 30 minutes daily release.
Three weeks of this at least. How am I supposed to keep myself entertained for this amount? I don’t have a Netflix account.

I don’t want to be someone who gets it.
I want to smell things and taste things.

I would get some box sets but the libraries are locked down. I’m starting to developing a noticeable frown. But I guess that’s better than a hospital gown. I don’t know.

On Thursdays we applaud for those who act for no such reward. It’s nice to see the street, briefly, and know yeh maybe they won’t get us beat.
